Bolton: Cannabis farm discovered in Egerton

Police carried out a raid in Egerton to find harvested cannabis plants behind a false wall in a garage.

Officers discovered a ‘large quantity’ of recently cropped cannabis drying this morning after executing a drug warrant with Smith Lane.

They say the neighborhood team found the drugs concealed behind a false wall within an external garage.

A spokesman for GMP Bolton North said: “There was also evidence of a recent cannabis farm with ventilation, lighting and irrigation.

“One male adult has been arrested and is currently awaiting an interview in custody.”

Officers thanked the public for providing information.

The spokesman added: “We could not carry out this type of work without the information you the public provide.”
