Iron Gate has revealed new details about the Valheim Mistlands, giving us a first look at the Hare and some of the buildings in this new biome.
Although Valheim update progress has slowed down somewhat, Iron Gate has made an effort to keep new content coming out such as with the debut of the Frost Caves earlier this year. It has also been pretty good about informing the playerbase about progress on the Mistlands update – and now, we’ve learned about a new mob and new locations.
The Valheim Mistlands Biome is Taking Shape
Progress on the Valheim Mistlands biome is continuing well and Iron Gate has decided to show off two key features of this new biome: the Hare mob and new structures.
Let’s start with the Hare. You can see the model created in the video above along with a quick view of the model actually in-game. Based on what I can see, it looks like it’s about the size of a bird. It will presumably have its own kind of meat (and, consequently, its own new recipes). We don’t yet know if Hares can be tamed, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
The second item of note revealed in of today Valheim Mistlands devblog are two images of structures intended for the Mistlands biome. One looks like a large temple of sorts and the other appears to be a large bridge.
As a longtime Valheim player, I find these structures particularly interesting. It’s entirely possible that these are native structures based on building blocks that you can’t dismantle (such as the Burial Chambers and Sunken Ruins), but these also look like they could be made of a new class of building block. If they are, we may have an entirely new tier arriving in the next big Valheim update.
We still can’t say for certain when the Valheim Mistlands update is coming out, but there’s tons of fun to be had in the game right now! You can buy Valheim for PC via Steam at the price of $ 19.99 or your regional equivalent. It’s well worth checking out – 10 million sales is a good sign that there’s something great there.
